The Center for Women’s Legal Researches, Counselling and Protection (CWLRCP) met with Lieutenant Colonel Salman Al-Masry, Deputy Director of the North Gaza Governorate Police, Major Fayza Abdel Dayem of the Women’s Police, and Major Mohammed Salem to discuss avenues of joint cooperation in protecting abused and at-risk women. This collaboration falls within the services provided by the “Hayat” project for the protection and empowerment of women and families.

Ms. Zeinab Al-Ghunaimi, Director of the Center, praised the efforts made by official bodies in cooperating with civil society organizations and protecting abused women.

During the meeting, participants discussed several issues concerning the handling of women’s cases, in addition to the referral of abused women requiring intervention from the Center.

The meeting was also attended by Attorney Imtiaz Hasaballah and Ms. Tahani Qassem, Community Access Coordinator for the “Hayat” project.
