The Center for Women’s Legal Researches, Counselling and Protection (CWLRCP) concluded the second training session with the Public Prosecution Office, titled “Empowering Duty Bearers in the Public Prosecution Office to Protect the Rights of Abused Women.” This training was part of the project “Improving Justice Sector Services for Women in the Gaza Strip,” which aims to develop the practical skills of service providers for abused women, based on human rights principles.
At the conclusion of the training, the trainees, including heads, agents, and assistants in the Public Prosecution Office from the five governorates of the Gaza Strip, were thanked. Certificates were distributed by Ms. Islah Hassanieh, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Center, Ms. Zeinab Al-Ghunaimi, Executive Director, and Counselor Hussam Dakka, Head of the Technical Office at the Public Prosecution Office.
With this session, the Center has completed the training of (65) individuals, divided into two training groups, with (50) training hours over (10) days. The training focused on several topics: (Women’s rights according to international agreements and conventions, gender-based violence, the nature of electronic crimes and hacking of networks and electronic devices that harm women and how to protect them, penal mediation or penal reconciliation in cases of violence against women, the Family Protection Unit and the national referral system).
