CWLRCP Delegation Visits the Attorney General This Morning

A delegation from The Center for Women’s Legal Researches, Counselling and Protection (CWLRCP) visited His Excellency Attorney General, Counselor Diaa al-Din al-Madhoun, in his office today. They discussed several issues pertaining to abused women that are currently before the Public Prosecution and explored avenues for cooperation in handling women’s complaints.

His Excellency the Attorney General welcomed the delegation, which included Ms. Zeinab al-Ghunaimi, Director of the Center; Attorney Imtiaz Hasaballah; Ms. Wafa Hulais, Training and Capacity Building Program Coordinator; and Ms. Wafa Eid, Supervisor of the Shelter Department at the “Hayat” Project for the Protection and Empowerment of Women and Families. He emphasized the clear methodology of the Public Prosecution, noting that a number of measures have been taken to ensure transparency, establish the truth, and achieve justice for women and men. He pledged that the Public Prosecution would maintain continuous communication to serve the community.

Ms. Zeinab al-Ghunaimi, Director of the Center, praised the positive relationship between the Center and the Public Prosecution, stressing the need for continued joint work and regular coordination to integrate services provided to abused women.
