CWLRCP Equips Kitchen and Dining Hall for Female Prisoners in Gaza

The Center for Women’s Legal Researches, Counselling and Protection (CWLRCP) equipped a kitchen and dining hall for the Women’s Reform and Rehabilitation Center in Gaza with all necessary supplies, as part of efforts to improve the conditions of female prisoners in accordance with international human rights and women’s rights standards. The CWLRCP, represented by its director, Professor Zeinab Al-Ghunaimi, handed over all the necessary equipment and tools this morning to the administration of the Women’s Reform and Rehabilitation Center, represented by Major Amal Nofal.

In addition, the Center, in cooperation with the Jabalia Women’s Health Center, represented by Professor Mariam Shaqoura, provided a number of health awareness sessions, during which health packages were distributed to female prisoners. This initiative falls within the “Improving Comprehensive Protection Services for Women and Girls in Conflict-Affected Areas of the Gaza Strip” project, in partnership with UN Women and funded by the Government of Japan. The project aims to improve access to human rights-based protection services for women who are victims and survivors of gender-based violence.
