The Center for Women’s Legal Researches, Counselling and Protection (CWLRCP), represented by its Director, Professor Zeinab al-Ghunaimi, received a women’s delegation from the Basque region of Spain at the headquarters of the “Hayat Center for the Protection and Empowerment of Women and Families” project.

The visit was part of international feminist solidarity with women in the Gaza Strip. The delegation included more than ten leading women working in women’s and human rights organizations in the Basque region.

Al-Ghunaimi noted that the delegation’s solidarity visit expressed the extent to which Palestinian women, especially in the Gaza Strip, need solidarity and support to strengthen their resilience in the face of the Israeli siege and aggression, which makes women’s lives difficult.

Participants in the delegation expressed their delight in visiting the Gaza Strip to learn firsthand about the conditions of Palestinian women.

Yesterday, the delegation held a special meeting with a number of women leaders to discuss the situation of women in the Gaza Strip at all social, economic, and legal levels at the headquarters of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).
