CWLRCP Trains New Lawyers

The Center for Women’s Legal Researches, Counselling and Protection (CWLRCP) is implementing a training program targeting newly graduated lawyers as part of the project “Protecting the Legal Rights of Abused Women in the Gaza Strip,” funded by the Heinrich Böll Foundation – Palestine and Jordan Office. The project aims to contribute to reducing violence against women and girls by raising community awareness of violence and providing them with legal and social protection.

Project Coordinator Samah Al-Qishawi noted that the training will be conducted over eight training days, totaling 40 hours, covering the following topics: gender, violence against women from a gender perspective, personal status law (marriage, divorce, inheritance), women’s rights in international covenants and agreements, women’s political participation and its relationship to international decisions and agreements, and Training of Trainers (TOT). She clarified that the total number of trainers is 20, including 13 female lawyers and 7 male lawyers.
