Zainab Al-Ghoneimi and all the staff of The Center for Women’s Legal Researches, Counselling and Protection (CWLRCP) in Gaza, extend their deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the sons and daughters of the deceased, and to the families of Al-Batta and Abu Sitta, on the passing of the wife of the late Al-Hajj Ibrahim Hussein Abu Sitta:
The honorable and pioneering figure in the Palestinian women’s movement,
Hajjah Madiha Hafez Al-Batta.
The Center for Women’s Legal Researches, Counselling and Protection (CWLRCP), while extending its deepest condolences and sympathy to the family of the deceased, recalls with pride the rich and generous history of the deceased as one of the pioneers of education in the Gaza Strip, and a pioneer in voluntary feminist work, as she was one of the founders of the General Union of Palestinian Women in 1964 and a member of its first Board of Directors.
May God have mercy on the deceased and grant her family patience and solace.
