Zainab Al-Ghunaimi, Director of The Center for Women’s Legal Researches, Counselling and Protection (CWLRCP), delivered a speech today on “Social Protection for Women Victims of Violence.”

This was during a conference organized by UN Women as part of the closing activity for the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign, which this year bore the slogan “Leave No One Behind: End Violence Against Women and Girls.”

During her speech, Al-Ghunaimi pointed to the role of civil society organizations in protecting women by providing various forms of support to protect women from gender-based violence.

Al-Ghunaimi also expressed her support for the steadfast Palestinian women facing the violence of the occupation, especially the women of Jerusalem.
