His Excellency the Minister of Social Development, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Shaer, along with the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Development, Dr. Youssef Ibrahim, and the Director-General at the Ministry, Ms. Thanaa Al-Khazindar, visited the “Hayat” Project for the Protection and Empowerment of Women and Families. Concurrently, Ms. Ulziisuren Jamsran, Head of UN Women in Palestine, and Ms. Heba Al-Zayan, Programs Director at UN Women in the Gaza Strip, also visited the center. They were received by Advocate Islah Hassaniya, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Center for Women’s Legal Researches, Counselling and Protection (CWLRCP), Dr. Tarek Al-Dirawi, Vice-Chairperson of the Board, Ms. Zeinab Al-Ghunaimi, Director of the Center, and the project staff.

The Minister praised the work and effort exerted in the “Hayat” Project after he and the accompanying delegation were briefed on the project’s sections and the services provided to battered women, including the shelter section. He pledged to expedite the procedures for activating this section.

For her part, Ms. Ulziisuren Jamsran expressed her admiration for the services provided by the “Hayat” Project, especially considering it was her first visit to the project’s headquarters.
