As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen ties with official judicial bodies, a delegation from The Center for Women’s Legal Researches, Counselling and Protection (CWLRCP), represented by Ms. Zeinab Al-Ghoneimi, Director of the Center, Ms. Hala Al-Sharif, Ms. Hanan Matar, Dr. Tariq Al-Dirawi, Mr. Ali Al-Dan, members of the Center’s Board of Directors, and Ms. Wafa Helles, Training and Capacity Building Program Coordinator, conducted a series of visits yesterday and today to His Excellency Counselor Diaa Al-Madhoun, President of the Supreme Judicial Council, His Excellency Counselor Dr. Muhammad Al-Nahal, Attorney General, and His Excellency Counselor Ahmed Al-Hatta, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice, to congratulate them on the New Year and their assumption of duties in their new positions.

The focus of these meetings was on developing and empowering the official justice sector to play a positive role in serving abused women. The counselors commended the Center’s role, particularly in the last four years, and its efforts in cooperating to develop the capabilities of workers in the official justice sector. They stressed the need to continue these efforts on one hand, and the importance of strengthening relations between the Center and all components of civil society, and between official bodies, in a way that serves the interests of society in general and women in particular.
