The President of the Supreme Council of Sharia Judiciary in Gaza issued a decision on January 19, 2015, approving the activation of the Family Forum within the Hayat Project for the Protection and Empowerment of Women and Families, as a designated location for visitation of children in custody by one parent in front of all (Sharia) Courts of First Instance in the Gaza Strip.

“Hayat Center” is a project of The Center for Women’s Legal Researches, Counselling and Protection (CWLRCP). The Family Forum is considered suitable and equipped to achieve its intended goals, providing an atmosphere of reassurance, comfort, and safety for children during visitation, thereby serving the best interests of the children in custody.

The Center for Women’s Legal Researches, Counselling and Protection (CWLRCP), represented by its board of directors and its director, Ms. Zeinab Al-Ghunaimi, extends its thanks and appreciation to His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Hassan Al-Joujou, President of the Supreme Council of Sharia Judiciary and President of the Supreme Sharia Court in Gaza, and to the Sharia Judicial Council for their efforts and response in supporting women’s issues.
