Family Forum at Hayat Center for the Protection and Empowerment of Women and Families Hosts Families for Visitation Cases at the Center’s Headquarters and the Khan Yunis Branch

The “Hayat” Family Forum, affiliated with The Center for Women’s Legal Researches, Counselling and Protection (CWLRCP), hosted 17 families on Thursday, allowing them to see their 23 children at the center’s headquarters in Gaza and its branch in Khan Yunis. The total number of families utilizing the visitation service at “Hayat” is 65, including 50 at the Gaza headquarters and 15 at the Khan Yunis branch.

The Family Forum receives 3-4 families daily for visitation services at the “Hayat” center. Other families are monitored for home-based visitations, in addition to remote visitations conducted via communication applications, depending on each family’s circumstances.

The Center for Women’s Legal Researches, Counselling and Protection (CWLRCP) seeks to expand the Family Forum’s operations to cover all governorates in the Gaza Strip to facilitate families’ access to this service, thereby achieving the best interests of the child. A Family Forum branch was opened in Khan Yunis Governorate at the beginning of 2021, and work is underway to open and equip forums in other governorates.
