A delegation from The Center for Women’s Legal Researches, Counselling and Protection (CWLRCP), represented by Ms. Zeinab Al-Ghunaimi, the Director of the Center, visited His Excellency the Attorney General, Counselor Diaa al-Din al-Madhoun, in his office.
The Attorney General affirmed the Public Prosecution’s commitment to women’s issues and the protection of families from violence, as well as supporting women as vulnerable groups, and ensuring that women are not detained except in consultation with the Attorney General and with due consideration for the public interest.
Counselor Mo’nes Hammouda, Director of the Prosecution of Institutions, and Ms. Imtiaz Hasaballah, a lawyer at the Center, attended the meeting. They discussed several cases related to abused women and girls residing at the Bayt Al-Hayat (House of Life), which is affiliated with the Center.
Ms. Zeinab praised the continuous positive relationship between the Center and the Public Prosecution, and the importance of joint cooperation to serve women and their issues, stressing the need for continued joint work and successful periodic coordination with the aim of integrating services provided to abused women.
