Minister of Women’s Affairs, Dr. Amal Hamad, convened a meeting with members of the technical committee for protection centers.

The meeting was attended by Zeinab Al-Ghunaimi, the head of Hayat Center for the Protection of Abused Women in the Gaza Strip, via video conference. Also in attendance were all governmental partners and civil society organizations.

The meeting was part of a series of discussions focused on developing the national referral system, the protection center system, and the unified procedures manual. This follows a practical application phase aimed at identifying gaps, challenges, and obstacles to work, with the goal of finding solutions and developing recommendations for amendment and treatment.

During the meeting, attendees were briefed on the details of work related to the protection of women in the Gaza Strip governorates, in order to compare it with what is implemented in the West Bank governorates, with the aim of reaching a comprehensive and integrated framework for all governorates of the country.
