CWLRCP Conducts Digital Skills Training

In February 2021, The Center for Women’s Legal Researches, Counselling and Protection (CWLRCP) initiated a specialized training course for ten of its female employees (psychologists, social workers, and lawyers). The course, comprising 30 training hours, focuses on advanced skills in digital communication.

The training revolves around the following topics: “How to use the safest digital means and master the use of secure digital communication programs and tools when communicating with the organization’s beneficiaries; how to conduct video interviews and correspondence; protecting data and the confidentiality of communication with beneficiaries; archiving and storing files securely and creating backups; and how to share files and data securely.”

Ms. Wafaa Heles, the project coordinator, indicated that the training aims to develop the skills of the center’s employees in using digital means securely, especially in light of the increased workload during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and the heavy reliance on continuing to provide services to abused women using the safest means for them.

This training is part of the project “Combating the Root Causes of Violence Against Women in the Gaza Strip,” funded by the Feminist Peace Foundation.
