CWLRCP Continues Meetings with Government and Law Enforcement

A delegation from The Center for Women’s Legal Researches, Counselling and Protection (CWLRCP) met today with the Director-General of Police, Major General Tayseer Al-Batsh, to strengthen relations with official and police entities and to explore avenues for joint cooperation in providing optimal protection services for abused women and women at risk. The Center receives these women in the Hayat Project, which aims to protect and empower women and families. During the meeting, participants discussed a number of issues concerning the handling of women’s cases and complaints in investigation departments, in addition to referring abused women in need of the Center’s intervention. For her part, the Director of the Center, Ms. Zeinab Al-Ghunaimi, expressed her gratitude for the efforts made by official bodies in cooperating with civil society organizations and protecting abused women.

The meeting was attended by Colonel Dr. Narmin Adwan, Brigadier General Zuhair Shaheen, Assistant Director of Police for Specialized Police, Brigadier General Fayeq Al-Mabhuh, Assistant Director of Police for Operations and Training, and Brigadier General Jamal al-Din, Assistant Director of Police for Regular Police, all from the police. Representing the Center were Attorney Imtiaz Hasaballah and Ms. Tahani Qassem, Community Access Coordinator for the Hayat Project.
