The Center for Women’s Legal Researches, Counselling and Protection (CWLRCP) continues to implement a series of training sessions aimed at empowering duty bearers in public health to protect the rights of abused women. This initiative is part of the project “Enhancing Legal Protection for Women in the Gaza Strip.” Through this project, the Center aims to contribute to the promotion of women’s rights and equality in the Gaza Strip.
Ms. Zeinab Al-Ghunaimi, Director of the Center, welcomed the attending doctors and nurses, introducing the Center, its services, and the objectives of the training program, which is being conducted in all governorates of the Gaza Strip.
Ms. Lima Diab, the project coordinator, noted that the Center is continuing to implement specialized training for duty bearers within the Ministry of Health. This training targets a total of 108 doctors and nurses from all hospitals in the Gaza Strip, including 54 doctors from various specialties, particularly those in the surgical reception department, surgeons, and doctors from the obstetrics and gynecology departments, as well as 54 nurses. She explained that the training commenced yesterday in the Rafah Governorate, in addition to the training implemented today in the Khan Yunis Governorate. The training covered the following topics: (the National Referral System, the Family Protection Unit, and writing medico-legal reports).
She noted that work will continue to implement the training in the remaining governorates during the current week.
