CWLRCP Launches Training Program in the Northern Governorate

The Center for Women’s Legal Researches, Counselling and Protection (CWLRCP) inaugurated a training program titled “Empowering Duty Bearers in the Palestinian Police to Protect Abused Women.” The program targets thirty (30) prospective recipients of complaints from abused women and investigators in the North Gaza Governorate.

Ms. Zeinab Al-Ghunaimi, Director of the CWLRCP, welcomed the attending police officers and provided an overview of the center, its services, and the objectives of the training program. This program is being implemented across all governorates of the Gaza Strip as part of the “Enhancing Legal Protection for Women in the Gaza Strip” project.

Colonel Raed Al-Amoudi, Inspector General of Police, commended the center’s role in implementing and ensuring the success of this training.

The training program includes several topics. The first day of training addresses “Women’s Rights According to International Conventions and Covenants” and is led by trainer, lawyer Mr. Saeed Abdullah.
