CWLRCP Launches Training Series to Empower Service Providers in Protecting the Rights of Abused Women

The Center for Women’s Legal Researches, Counselling and Protection (CWLRCP) has begun implementing a series of training sessions aimed at empowering duty-bearers from the Sharia and Magistrate Courts, the Public Prosecution, and Public Health, to protect women’s rights. This initiative falls under the project “Improving Justice Sector Services for Abused Women in the Gaza Strip.”

The project coordinator, Professor Wafaa Hulles, indicated that the center has commenced training for the first group, consisting of (21) judges of the Peace and First Instance Courts within the Magistrate Court system. This group will undergo (11) training days, totaling (33) training hours. It is noted that the total number of judges from the Magistrate Courts scheduled to be trained is (55) judges (Supreme, Appeal, First Instance, and Peace), divided into three training groups.
