The Center for Women’s Legal Researches, Counselling and Protection (CWLRCP) conducted a free medical day on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, in cooperation with Our Children Association for the Deaf. During the event, eye examinations were provided, and the medical needs of 30 individuals with hearing disabilities were identified, with the aim of providing them with assistive medical devices for vision.
It is worth mentioning that the Center previously provided oral and dental examinations for the same group of individuals with disabilities to promote the principle of ensuring their life and safety. This activity complements the Center’s role and efforts to improve services provided to women in general and women with disabilities in particular, within the project “Comprehensive Protection Services for Women Victims of Violence in the Gaza Strip,” funded by the United Nations Humanitarian Fund in the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
